“The Calabar Girl” is Tayo ISIJOLA’s retelling of The Woman of Calabar (2002), as written by a dramatist extraordinaire- Captain Elechi Amadi. It is a domestic comedy drama that
explores the theme of ethnic prejudice; a Nigerian reality that impedes development in the social space and beyond. The performance pitches passion against apprehension and love against fear in a racy and hilarious theatrical encounter.
