The dreams of a pre-teen “playful boy” that survived career imposition resonate here at DTR. After a decade of digression, he was grudgingly allowed into the “playing field” and inducted for studies in “play creation”. Diligently, the boy “played along” till he became a “playmaking doctor”.
DTR (Dr Tee Repertory) is a performing arts social laboratory that is envisioned to create platforms for the talented individuals (trained and untrained), while making significant contributions to skill-based trainings, talent management and job creation for family entertainment and social development.

“Toxic In-Laws” is first in the series of the Port-Harcourt Theatre Premiere Show; a brand established for family entertainment. The full-length live theatrical performance deploys its narrative in the atypical manner, as the story escalates possible consequences of unbounded boundary in marriage. Exploring greed, anxiety disorder, online dating, misinformation and superstition as subject matters, the performance promises a tremendous theatre experience.
Synopsis
Peace gradually evades the newlywed when Tony, against Ella’s disfavor, brings home his sister as an outpatient from the psychiatric hospital. Then, Ella’s cousin arrives unexpectedly, causing Cindy a mental health trigger that throws the home into chaotic situations, attracting more in-laws and other 3rd parties. Thanks to Franca – the house maid, whose superstition riddle unpuzzles the jinx. Regrettably, Tony reverses his decision and send everyone parking for abiding peace to return.
